Vedanta Ltd rose for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 175.9, up 1.41% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.49% on the day, quoting at 10916.95. The Sensex is at 36213.3, up 0.41%. Vedanta Ltd has added around 7.42% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Metal index of which Vedanta Ltd is a constituent, has added around 5.48% in last one month and is currently quoting at 2922.7, up 2.24% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 51.88 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 148.4 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark March futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 174.15, up 1.04% on the day. Vedanta Ltd is down 43.88% in last one year as compared to a 6.51% gain in NIFTY and a 21.71% gain in the Nifty Metal index.

The PE of the stock is 9.11 based on TTM earnings ending December 18.
