NTPC Ltd rose 2.01% today to trade at Rs 131.9. The S&P BSE Power index is up 1.18% to quote at 2007.32. The index is up 12.33 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd increased 1.6% and GMR Infrastructure Ltd added 1.47% on the day. The S&P BSE Power index went down 5.82 % over last one year compared to the 16.65% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

NTPC Ltd has added 15.37% over last one month compared to 12.33% gain in S&P BSE Power index and 7.68% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 38007 shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 4.03 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 149.87 on 18 Apr 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 106.75 on 13 Feb 2019.
