It is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of hypokalemia with or without metabolicalkalosis, in patients for whom dietary management with potassium-rich foods and/or diureticdose reduction are insufficient. Potassium Chloride Oral Solution had annual sales of approximately $184.95 million in the US {IQVIA MAT June 2018).

Cadila Healthcare said that the company's Biologics manufacturing facility (Zydus Biologics) located at the Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad has received an Establishment Inspection Report (EIR) from the USFDA signifying the successful closure of the audit.
