 Scrips of HDFC Asset Management and Indraprastha Gas Limited on Monday surged to its 52 week high on the NSE after being included in the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) index last week. ICICI Prudential Life and DLF also traded near this technically crucial level.

Other entries to the index, Info Edge gained 2.07 per cent but was short of touching its 52-week high while Siemens India ended 1.77 per cent higher.

SBI Life Insurance Company and Berger Paints which were also added to the MSCI, however, ended lower on Monday.

The eight additions MSCI India Index were: Berger Paints, DLF, HDFC Asset Management, ICICI Prudential Life, Indraprastha Gas Ltd, Info Edge (India), SBI Life Insurance Co and Siemens India, MSCI said in a statement.

Although, being dropped from the MSCI, Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) ended 4.61 per cent higher, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, 1.41 per cent, Vodafone-Idea 5 per cent and Yes Bank by 5.73 per cent.

Those six deleted were Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, Indiabulls Housing Finance, L&T Finance Holdings, Vodafone-Idea Ltd and Yes Bank.
