Vedanta Ltd gained for a third straight session today. The stock is quoting at Rs 196.25, up 1.11% on the day as on 12:49 IST on the NSE. The benchmark NIFTY is up around 0.93% on the day, quoting at 10750.35. The Sensex is at 35977.49, up 1.09%. Vedanta Ltd has slipped around 2.89% in last one month.

Meanwhile, Nifty Metal index of which Vedanta Ltd is a constituent, has slipped around 7.66% in last one month and is currently quoting at 2882.05, up 0.45% on the day. The volume in the stock stood at 51.25 lakh shares today, compared to the daily average of 94.27 lakh shares in last one month.

The benchmark January futures contract for the stock is quoting at Rs 195.65, up 0.59% on the day. Vedanta Ltd is down 42.52% in last one year as compared to a 2.42% drop in NIFTY and a 28.89% drop in the Nifty Metal index.

The PE of the stock is 25.27 based on TTM earnings ending September 18.
