Coal India Ltd fell 1.55% today to trade at Rs 238.95. The S&P BSE Metal index is down 0.65% to quote at 11282.35. The index is up 10.52 % over last one month. Among the other constituents of the index, Vedanta Ltd decreased 1.49% and Steel Authority of India Ltd lost 1.45% on the day. The S&P BSE Metal index went down 21.61 % over last one year compared to the 11.05% surge in benchmark SENSEX.

Coal India Ltd has added 9.23% over last one month compared to 10.52% gain in S&P BSE Metal index and 3.31% rise in the SENSEX. On the BSE, 1.18 lakh shares were traded in the counter so far compared with average daily volumes of 3.56 lakh shares in the past one month. The stock hit a record high of Rs 307.1 on 12 Mar 2018. The stock hit a 52-week low of Rs 212 on 14 Feb 2019.
